Les Vergers de l'Ille is a charming artisanal cidery nestled in Saint-Grégoire, just a few kilometers north of Rennes, in the picturesque region of Ille-et-Vilaine, Brittany. This small farm has flourished over the past twenty years on around twenty hectares of land and is now run by three dedicated partners committed to organic farming, with a budding focus on biodynamic practices. Honoring genuine family tradition, Les Vergers de l'Ille crafts organic farmhouse ciders made exclusively from their own apples, with no blending, additives, sulfites, or external yeasts. The fermentation process is slow and natural, with bottle conditioning creating ciders of delightful finesse, rich aromas, and a lively character. The orchards, ideally situated, stretch from Saint-Grégoire to Montreuil-sur-Ille and feature over twenty carefully selected apple varieties, blended to produce balanced, fresh, and well-structured cuvées that are quintessential to the Rennes terroir.
